Khwai River Lodge is one of the oldest safari lodges in Botswana, opened in the late 1960's by the late Sir Seretse Khama, the first President of independent Botswana.

It is located eight kilometers north-west of the north gate of the Moremi Wildlife Reserve. This is the perfect location for observing the perennial drama of the African bushveld and provides excellent birding.
At the lodge you are close to Africa's heartbeat and at the centre of a world that has not altered since life began. Activities include day and night game drives in open safari vehicles. Birdwatching is also good at the Khwai River Lodge.

The camp offers 15 twin-bedded luxury tents. Each has a shaded deck faceing the Khwai river, en suite facilities, air-conditioning, heating, 24 hour DC lighting and thatched roof.
